DIY LOVE & Valentine’s Day

Valentine ’s Day is almost here and our favorite intern Madalyn helped us put together this adorable tablescape to celebrate.  Combining classic and elegant themes with some DIY designs, we’ve created a simple solution for your Valentine’s Day décor.  

Themed tablescapes or mantles are an easy way to decorate your home for holidays and other special occasions.   This is a fun way to create some standout décor at an affordable price, and in most cases, in a short matter of time.  The inspiration for our tablescape came from a variety of ideas.  We knew we wanted to create something with a classic red, pink and white color scheme, but we chose to add gold and purple for a little glam.  

We love to DIY, and created this heart garland using colored cardstock we already had on hand, and white ribbon from the craft store.

We sprinkled heart confetti on the table and added our glitter vases and wine glass candleholders for sparkle.  These are both easy to DIY with craft glitter and mod podge.  

The gold striped vases we used as end pieces were another simple project.  We grabbed the two vases at a local thrift store and added gold metallic paint in a modern pattern to enhance the glam.  Then we filled them with pink tissue paper, lit the twig branches and set with candles to give a romantic vibe.

Lastly, we added a focal centerpiece using our chalkboard sign with “love” to bring it all together.
