Welcome to the Belles Blog! Belles and Whistles is a new event planning company specializing in weddings, events, and other social occasions in and around Richmond, Virginia. Jennings, founder and owner of Belles and Whistles, has spent her career learning the ins and outs of event planning and honing her design aesthetic.  On September 19, 2013, Belles and Whistles was debuted in an intimate launch event that showcased her eye for design and attention to detail.  With Jennings’ unique vision, and help from a host of sponsors, we transformed a rustic barn into a polished space perfect to gather about 100 guests to celebrate the launch of this much-anticipated company.

Drawing from the earthy tones the wood barn and landscape offered, we used a neutral color palette interchanged with vibrant pops of navy and chartreuse that added a cheery effect to the rustic setting .

It’s the combination of the smallest details that have the biggest impact on the tone, atmosphere and ambiance of the event.  From the wooden slabs decked with a waterfall of fresh fruit, to the chalkboard signs highlighting “sweets, savories and sips,”  china tea cups of tomato basil mac and cheese, and gorgeous lighting- we seamlessly integrated numerous personal touches to create a distinct event.
